Game rules
Standard 2017 tournament rules, with the exception of:
- Legal characters: Terra, Cecil, Cloud of Darkness, Laguna and Bartz
- Legal stages: World of Darkness, Order's Sanctuary and Pandaemonium - Top Floor
- No Dave's Stupid Rule
Prohibited
Use of third party programs to bypass in-game limits.
Tournament format and procedure
Double Elimination and double blindpick.
- 1) Coin flip to see who gets to pick the first stage
- 2) Send blind character picks to a TO or 3rd party
- 3) Loser of the previous game picks the stage
- 4) Winner of the previous game picks a character
- 5) Loser of the previous game picks a character
Repeat steps 3 - 5 until one player has won three matches.

Even though Bartz and Cecil were used by the tournament winner, Terra had the highest usage and win rate overall. Laguna had second highest usage, but lost significantly more matches than Cecil, who was picked nearly as many times.

- Laguna was picked 15 times won 3 matches and lost 9 matches
- Cecil was picked 14 times, won 10 matches and lost 4 matches
